From: Artie Moffa Dear C.R.: Please tell me when your computers are hindering your work. Tracy told me yesterday that she was unable to perform any sort of FTP action from her computer. Without FTP, she couldn't move files to and from the Web site, among other things. She had coped by doing her Web design on her Mac, and then moving to another computer to upload the files. She'd been working this way for months. I heard about it yesterday. I restored FTP access to her machine in less than one minute. I know a lot about computers, and I have smart friends who know even more. I am confident in my ability to fix most problems that I hear about. I have little faith in my ability to fix the problems I don't hear about. Pease let me know about your problems. Hannah's backups are working more regularly. Muriel can save PDFs as GIFs. Nancy can edit music CDs. Muriel can't burn CD's anymore, but I'm working on it. People spoke up, and now their work is easier. -Artie |
