My college years were splendid; graduation was enjoyable
And since that day I’ve learned a scholar isn’t too
employable.
I cannot fix a fax machine or draft an office document
My after-taxes earnings have been rather less than opulent
And though my college courses educated me substantially,
I wonder if my scholarship was very smart financially.
The working world has shown me that my skills are barely
adequate
And there’s a worthy lesson for the modern college graduate.
